I went up to the SWAT office today too see some of the boys and saw the virtual bumper they constructed. It turns out that it takes up a lot less room than I used to and is reported to be 18% more helpful around the office.
Also Anna knows how to ride a bicycle all by herself today. Yay Anna!
I’m telling you this spider was trying to tell me he had an idea. Or maybe he was making that lightbulb to fool those flying things that always flock to lightbulbs. Or maybe it’s common for spiders to make that kind of shape in a web and I’ve just never noticed it before.
Hard to say really, but I thought it was pretty cool.
I finally gave in and installed gallery. I resisted as long as I could because it’s a php ap and I try to avoid those for religious reasons. Since all my friends swear by gallery, I set it up on a box here at the house just to organize newly taken pictures and realized how cool it is.
Whatever it was that I was using before never did really work very well anyway. *shrug*
Presenting the new picture page! I guess I need to start fixing links…
In case you don’t want to figure it out yourself; today is Easter. I was going to write out something nice for Easter this year, but it turns out what I was going to say was virtually identical to this. No real sense in duplicating the effort I suppose.
Once you start thinking that this sign is advertising robot volleyball does it ever look like anything else again? Just wondering.
If you can read this, DNS has propogated and you are seeing this on the new server. Yay!
I moved CopCal to make the url a little shorter so the old links are gone. I updated old posts with the new url. Yay sed(1)!
CopCal.03 is out. New to this release is a threaded message feature, shading of “today”, minor formatting cleanup and, oh yeah; you can actually log in from something other than mozilla. Bah! Thanks to Dellechiaie for hipping me to this small problem. So, once again, please feel free to make yourself a calendar. It’s intended to be used for scheduling overtime jobs. Contact me with any suggestions, requests or reports that, despite what I may think, it doesn’t work at all.
Our driveway debacle is still in full swing. My dad has started giving talks at city council meetings and The Newspaper printed his last in its entirety. So I guess I will too. It’s that good.
Well, if I hadn’t been all gimped-up today I could have been out driving around the Hill Country with some car geeks. Judging from hoyhoy’s map and gregh’s GPS track log it seems that things went according to plan.
It’s all over now, but doppler and tex cobbled together the coolest system for streaming audio from SxSW shows. I mean, this even got a slashdot mention. I’m just proud to know the guys that pulled that stunt. Some of the audio was rough, but I listened to something from the Mercury Room for a while that wasn’t too bad. Someone, I can’t decide if it’s a band or a club, should hire these guys. It’s the future.
Nuclear Taco Night SxSW went off well. I hope you had a chance to stop by. The food was hot, Deek and Miles sang all the hits, and it seems that a good time was had by all. Thanks, hoyhoy for the pic. More pictures are up in the nucleartacos.com gallery.
I put a beta copy of CopCal up here. CopCal is a simple scheduling system for overtime jobs, use it for anything you want though. Report bugs to me please.
