shakedown run

Anna and I went for a nice ride around Town Lake to celebrate her birthday and as a shakedown run for her new bicycle. The weather was perfect, we had frozen custard at Sandy’s, we stopped at Starbuck’s on the way in and on the way back. All said it was a really nice day: Grade A, good++.

windmill position

So I was all set to play a couple of sets with deek at Dave and Buster’s for the Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators conference when I got a SWAT call. When I say all set, I mean on stage, guitars tuned, amp warmed, right arm in the windmill position…
I feel pretty bad for leaving deekster hanging, but I’m only part of that show for my looks anyway. 🙂

I have a few pictures from the debriefing.

I almost ran off the road

I was listening to the radio the other morning on my way home from work and the man was lamenting about how hard life is for children. “Just imagine”, he said, “if adults had to go to work and deal with constant emotional abuse and the threat of physical harm from their coworkers!”. Of course this made me laugh so hard I almost ran off the road.

Man I miss the team…
